Being a trans gay men before and after passing is the biggest 180 in the way other queer people treat you, once you stop being feminine enough for them it’s gg’s and you’re demonized

Doesn’t matter if you’re a feminist, doesn’t matter if you fight for them, if you’re a man and masculine you’re satan🤷‍♂️

I had people stop being friends with me after I started passing and started a blue collar job because “you’re a real man now and I’m not friends with men”

Once I get on T it’s over for THEM cause I’m gonna become the biggest freak on the block

I feel this is similar as a trans woman in a lot of women and lesbian spaces as soon as you deviate even slightly from patriarchal standards of femininity suddenly all basic respect is thrown out the window and you’re a man again

I’ve been able to make friends with cis het guys much more easily compared to any other demographic once I started passing. It’s both affirming and isolating at the same time 😖

“You’re a real man now?” Jesus Christ you had some transphobic friends, I’m so sorry

It was absolutely baffling. Now I’m friends with cis het men and absolutely love them. I made sure none of them were MAGA or conservative or any of the phobics before I befriended them. It feels weird to be friends with cis het men but they support me and make me feel safe and comfortable.

I’m a little afraid of this happening to me because one of my best friends is a lesbian man hater and it’s kinda just “oh but not you”

I have some cishet guy friends that mean the world to me, they treat me the same as other men without being patronizing, I’m just the same as them

I think you should evaluate whether you feel like she sees you as a man and not wait until you start T

If she doesn’t see you as a man even before you start T, she might not be worth keeping in your life.

I got drunk with them one night and said “I can’t believe you guys treat me like a real man” and all of them were like “You are a man, why would we treat you any differently?”

She’s told me she sees me as a man, I know she does, I’m just not sure she will keep me around after I become more manish

Then either you’re being paranoid or she’s lying
