For more context I will be talking to them. I just don’t know how to say it’s not working without it sounding super mean like “yeah I don’t love you” obviously I have so much care for them it’s just not working. I don’t wanna hurt them

rejection is gonna sting regardless of how you do it. most people just say “i don’t think this is gonna work out” how they react to it is entirely on them.
