our struggles have always been entwined. Rounding up disabled people was so popular in Germany that it led Hitler to gain the support needed to conduct the Holocaust. People "experiencing same sex attraction" were sent to mental institutions in the US. It's not a bad joke because you didn't phrase it as you intended, it's a bad joke because homophobia and biphobia literally depend on ableism.
