seriously. Like you want to understand why a person feels that way, they're gonna have their own story. All you need to understand is that not everyone identifies as one of the two main genders, it's no more complicated than that. And really the gender of someone identifies with shouldn't really change how you treat them anyway, it's largely irrelevant other than how you respectfully refer to them (he/her/they).
