real like, I do understand how the combination of one or two remarkably positive t4t experiences + a couple prior negative experiences dating cis people can lead someone to believe that t4t relationships are this unique magical life-saving thing by default. but yeah, unfortunately it’s more complex than that

it’s not a fix, but t4t is inherently safer (though not 100% safe), which is part of why people are so adamantly for it. trans people are 4x more likely to be victims of intimate partner violence than cis women, and that’s primarily at the hands of cis people. I’m sorry if people recommend it like a panacea to you, though

i know a trans guy who’s the absolute worst narcissist ever. T4T did nothing but terrorize all his partners so def not always the answer
