I don’t know why so many of y’all need a reminder but “trans” is not a plural noun. It is an adjective. “Trans(gender) people” is the plural. “A trans” ❌ A trans person/man/woman ✅ “Some trans” ❌ Some trans people/men/women ✅

Also, it’s not ‘transperson/transman/transwoman’ or the plural as a singular word. There is a space in there.

There are the labels and there is the community. People saying 'that lifestyle' are probably just conflating the two, which is honestly not unreasonable given how outspoken the community is.

my dad is 66 and he said he was proud of me when I came out as trans. some of these people don’t even try to understand. I’m not going to be generous if they won’t do the same.
