Really depends on the person, but in short it’s all the feelings of romantic love Without the romantic attraction. You look forward to seeing them all the time, you want to spend a lot of time with them, maybe even cuddle, hold hands, etc. but it doesn’t feel romantic. It’s one of those things that’s hard to explain without feeling it. The dictionary definition (basically) means a relationship that falls outside of romantic and sexual norms. The actual emotion behind it I personally find hard to explain though

I think I’m experiencing it. I fell for a new friend of mine, and I asked him out because I really thought he felt the same way, but he says he does not do romantic relationships. I’m gray aroace anyway, so l took it pretty well. We do a lot of things together and are very emotionally attuned to each other, more intimately than with most friends I’ve had. We’re both neurodivergent in similar ways. Outsiders probably assume we’re dating when they see us.
