also erases masculine identity from queer spaces and opposes masculinity with sapphicness thus replicating essentialist social frameworks. many people who are afab and/or nonbinary present masc and deserve inclusion in spaces. men are not inherently unsafe or irrelevant either, again let’s not play into essentialism.
Also as a queer femme man, like I don’t fit into masculine spaces at all and don’t even have very many friends that are men. Very little overlap in personality or interests. And it sucks when you want to join queer spaces but you’re told you’re not queer enough, whatever the hell that means. And I’ve heard similar from trans men, trans women, and nonbinary people who want to participate in these spaces
