Honestly sick of hearing women use it in general. It’s always straight/bi women using it the most and feels so uncomfortable and fetishized. It’s not a slur but it’s also not language you should used to describe people without their consent. Straight women, keep twink out of your mouth.
Using Twink to describe trans people can be particularly problematic because of the high rates of eating disorders (Trevor project estimates as high as 71%). It perpetuates the idea that the only way for trans guys to pass is to be feminine and tiny and feeds into toxic community cultures like “starve the dysphoria”.
LETS TALK ABOUT THE EATING DISORDERS because why is being deathly skinny so ingrained into young queer culture (and particularly in the perception of transmascs) that when I came out to people I trusted, to friends who’d been normal about shit, they said I was too fat to be a trans guy?
