Probably find out why and work through it with them but if they choose to get fat and stay that way, there are plenty of healthy fish in the sea

A little bit of weight gain is different from becoming obese? First I would try to help them with their mental health and help them find professionals to work with

I gained 100 lbs when I was suicidal. That weight dosent just go away. Also some of it was from my medication. So they get help, and gain weight from meds and it can’t be lost easily.

There’s also a difference between tackling problems as they come up after already having attraction and forming a bond from it, versus not feeling attraction to begin with

Yeah that’s the thing, if they’re wanting to lose weight and willing to receive help then I’d stick with them even if it takes a while to lose the weight. I’m a bit chubby and struggling to lose weight from meds so I get it

Fat does not equal unhealthy, and skinny does not mean healthy

No, but being overweight directly causes a plethora of health issues

Skinny people also have a plethora of health issues. And sometimes people can’t lose weight easily after it’s put on.

Health issues such as? And sure there may be some compounding factors but at the end of the day it’s calories in calories out

Literally anyone can have health issues. Also sure “calories in calories out.” My mom eats healthy and counts calories and she’s overweight and has been for years. She walks and works out but she’s still overweight

Then she’s not in a deficit. It’s simple thermodynamics. If she’s overweight and can’t lose it, she’s eating the same amount or more than she’s burning. And yes anyone can have health issues but with skinny people is it often not related to their weight… unlike fat people

So being very skinny does come with health issues

Well duh but we are talking about your typical “skinny person” not the extremes
