I (enby) hate when someone messes up my pronouns and they go like "she...he, it, whatever." It's the 'whatever' that bothers me

The “whatever” is giving bathroom sign that has icons of mythical creatures on it and says “we don’t care, just wash your hands”

Yea the "whatever" here is saying "I do not care enough to actually know what your pronouns are or ask what they are

But is it the unsupportive “I do not care” or is it the “I do not care whatever you do or don’t identify as, it doesn’t affect me in any way and it was never brought up that you do/dont identify a certain way or use specific pronouns”? To me it really just seems like it’s more dependent on who you’re talking to and how you present yourself
