How come Palestinians were able to see that Kamala would be better than trump but millions of their American “allies” couldn’t?? Why did y’all feel comfortable disregarding their preference?

“The conflict began under Biden and has raged for eight months with no intervention. If the US had truly pressed to stop it, it would have ended before. Instead, we endure war, annihilation in plain view, and Israel receives unwavering military support. “The Democrats talk of peace but it’s empty. Biden’s term has been the worst for us; maybe Trump would be more decisive. “No American president will stand by us.”

there's a great article on Al Jazeera that shows they were actually pretty split

“If I had the right to vote, I would not vote for anyone. The choice here is between bad and worse. Whatever the result, the next president will support Israel.”

you can think what you want but what they’re saying is factually true. you can think it’s stupid to vote third party/not vote but trying to gain sympathy points by weaponizing a group experiencing a genocide who DOESNT AGREE WITH YOU is kinda fucked

okay yeah you can be a single issue voter and have to deal with the consequences of endangering even more groups of vulnerable people and making the original issue even worse just because you don’t believe in the idea of minimizing harm and suffering when the existence of it will be unavoidable given that one of the two options (because third parties never and will never win under the current system) MUST happen.

the 2024 election was a trolly problem between the average mediocre candidate and LITERAL AMERICAN HITLER. deciding that they’re the same and allowing the fascist to win was unethical especially when the latter will endanger palestinians more than the former ever could, defeating the purpose of voting (or not) based on a single issue. this is not “trying to gain sympathy points”, this is pointing out that this perspective fails itself at accomplishing anything besides virtue signaling.
