anyone else from a culture that doesn’t really accept gay people & feel torn between ur identities? i’m so scared that when my family discovers i’m lesbian i’ll never be able to visit my hometown in puerto rico again bc of how aggressively anti-gay it is

like being proudly gay, queer, and indian is reconnecting with my ancient roots and actively decolonizing myself!

also, actively seek out others at the intersection of your identities (however many there may be, and however many combinations you can make from them) when forming platonic and romantic relationships

and yeah, my family is mostly indigenous american but they’re all hard core pentecostals which is wild because idk how they can’t wrap their head around the fact it was obviously introduced through colonization when the europeans came
