I don’t think it’s inherently transphobic for a lesbian to not be attracted to a trans woman. Being a lesbian means being attracted to women, but that doesn’t mean every lesbian is going to be attracted to every woman. Attraction is personal and involves things like physical features, anatomy, presentation, chemistry, and individual preference. Nobody owes another person sexual or romantic attraction in order to prove that they respect their identity.
A lesbian shouldn’t be pressured into dating or having sex with someone to demonstrate that she isn’t transphobic. Consent means you’re allowed to say no without having to justify your attraction. At the same time, people should be respectful about how they communicate that rejection and avoid degrading or generalizing about trans women.
