No one is forcing lesbian women to like trans women. The issue is blatant and rampant transphobia. It kills me how many of you play the victim when you’re called out on your transphobia.

As a lesbian who dates cis and trans women, it’s heartbreaking. Almost every trans woman I’ve been with are such sweet and caring people

Ya along with gay men and ESPECIALLY cishets,,, ppl are way too comfortable withbeing transphobic and placing the blame on "don't force me to like dick/pussy when i don't"

I don’t think it’s inherently transphobic for a lesbian to not be attracted to a trans woman. Being a lesbian means being attracted to women, but that doesn’t mean every lesbian is going to be attracted to every woman. Attraction is personal and involves things like physical features, anatomy, presentation, chemistry, and individual preference. Nobody owes another person sexual or romantic attraction in order to prove that they respect their identity.

more: There’s also a difference between saying ‘I’m not attracted to this particular person’ and saying ‘trans women are not women’ or treating trans women as inherently undesirable. The first is a personal boundary; the second is an ideological judgment.

A lesbian shouldn’t be pressured into dating or having sex with someone to demonstrate that she isn’t transphobic. Consent means you’re allowed to say no without having to justify your attraction. At the same time, people should be respectful about how they communicate that rejection and avoid degrading or generalizing about trans women.

This isn’t about attraction. Like I said no one is forcing lesbians to be attracted to trans women.

That’s obviously not the situation they’re talking about though.
