Most of the men that my mom tried to have a serious relationship with after my sperm donor (her abuser) croaked didn’t want kids yet there were two of us, myself and my sister. They all knew she had kids and tried to make her choose a relationship over her own kids. She never did though. She always chose us thank fuck

I disagree. I don’t think simply dating someone is enough reason for you to step up as a parent and I think that expecting this is how you let bad people have access to your kids /nm

Well yeah, that’s a given. I was a newborn and my sister was barely a teenager. I’m just turning 21 and at this point she accepted she wasn’t gonna be with anybody else because of previous experiences and a lot of other things she still hasn’t unpacked. I still wish she found someone sooner so we can all live our adult lives independently

I understand i’m not saying immediately stepping in and becoming a parent right off the bat. I’m talking about specifically people who do not want kids under any circumstances shouldn’t be dating people who already have kids.
