When they ask “top or bottom” but what they actually mean is “dom or sub” (both are inappropriate and rude to ask)

I matched with someone on hinge the other day and literally his first message was like “for compatibility purposes, are you a top or bottom?” Idk I just don’t like the perceived inherent sexual nature of queer relationships

Okay but in dating I think it’s as reasonable as a straight person asking another one if they’re more dom/sub. You don’t have to ask it, but you can end up being incompatible if you don’t. It depends how much you want to talk about sex before having it vs just do it and find out
