Yes because people are now using it when they want to say the f slur.

Definition of twink is just to describe a slim youthful build, I don’t think it’s weird for straight people to use it but it does originate from gay culture

for context, i saw a post earlier where a woman was surprised that a man was homophobic because she said he “looked like a twink.” people in the comments tried telling her it was weird to say but a gay man kept telling them that it’s not weird because twink just means any slim man. thoughts?

Yeah it kinda feels like appropriation even though it’s just a word. But like others are saying people are using it when they really want to call us the f slur

Straight women saying “werk” or “mother” or what have you is far more irritating, because it’s not just trying to be funny, it comes along with a sense of entitlement to belonging in gay male culture. Neither make me uncomfortable.

They sure are. Nobody has any original culture.
