Nowhere is ever gonna be perfectly safe bc transphobes pervade every corner of this earth, but urban areas with more vocal queer communities and frequent queer-centered events, or states/counties with explicit political support from representatives willing to protect trans civil liberties. Ofc all these areas are often in more expensive blue states, so if the cost of living there is unrealistic, look for queer community and pockets of safe spaces in your area; ie local music or punk scene or etc

Since #1 is being useless for no reason, I’ll say it. Go to any blue city in a blue state. Literally any of them. That’s what you want. You want to be someplace that has a local AND state government that is on your side. You can’t do much about the feds right now, but you can move states.
