there isnt rlly one tbh. people pretty much just pick a label based on vibe/personal preference.

Bi = attraction to 2 or more genders Pan = attraction to any gender, sometimes even apathy to gender

It’s really down to personal preference. Pan is a type of Bi. It’s a microlabel

So for example, a bi person could be attracted to women and nonbinary people, but someone who’s pan won’t necessarily factor someone’s gender into their attraction towards them

so what’s the distinction between a bisexual person who’s into men, women, and nonbinary people equally and a pansexual person

I think the best way to simplify it is bisexuals are attracted to x number of genders, pansexuals are attracted to people they find attractive. Does that make sense?

i mean i think of myself as bisexual and the latter is an accurate description. who knows. it’s not really important i just wanna hear what ppl think

I think the confusion is coming from your personal identity as bi. Obviously, you can label yourself as whatever feels right. But objectively, the description you identify most with is pansexual. Tbh I started out as bi but moved into the label of pan as I understood it better. Still, I just tell people I’m bi for ease of understanding

Yeah I agree, I’m bi and I’ve got slack for this, idek if it’s valid or stupid idk I don’t get it, but I’m just into people who distinctly identify and portray themselves as a man or woman. Ofc they don’t need to be 100% masculine or feminine within that no one really is but I like people who present as a man or woman for some reason

Sexuality is weird and ever evolving for a lot of people! It’s hard to pin down one distinct definition or label for anything or anyone
