can someone please explain to me he/him lesbians? im being genuine here, my friends is lesbian goes by she/he, and her partner goes by he/him but they are lesbians im so confused by the he/him boyfriend part 😭 i dont wanna sound mean i just dunno
pronouns =\= gender. they’re disconnected, so the idea is usually that lesbians, who are women or nonbinary, feel more identified w those pronouns.

he/him are just pronouns they don't have anything to do with gender. so you can just be a lesbian and go by he/him pronouns

pronouns are one part of gender expression, so someone might use he/him pronouns to express/acknowledge their masculinity while also still identifying as a lesbian/woman/nonbinary etc

tysm this genuinely helped it make the most sense to me! i was just genuinely curious and wanted to educate myself (which is ironic being lgbt)

Am I not allowed to be annoyed that this same conversation happens here every single week?

im just a lgbt person who is genuinely curious because it was a bit harder for me to personally understand

Yes, but every single week this same question gets posted and it gets tiring to see/explain over and over. There are other resources

Cool, it’s tiring explaining our existence every week when there are resources available

You’re missing my point. THIS HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE WEEK ON HERE.

I’m happy to explain it once or twice, but it’s been asked so often in THIS ONE SPECIFIC GROUP, for almost a year at this point. I’m allowed to be upset that yall don’t just google it
