Op literally said trans lesbian discourse and then talks about men in women’s spaces and women not having spaces for themselves. Literally open twitter you’ll see a million terfs saying that word for word

I haven’t been here. I saw someone saying “trans lesbian discourse” and talking about men talking over women and men in women’s spaces. WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO ASSUME??? 99% of the time who is TRANS LESBIAN talking about. Trans Women

Do you want me to ask everyone who talks about men in women’s spaces if they’re a terf talking about trans women? Because 90% of the time they are. And I’m listening now, but listening does not take away from how the post sounds

You’re supposed to open the comments and see that we’re all talking about trans men. Or scroll for half a second and see the 10 other posts today about trans men lesbians. Or maybe, once you’ve been corrected and understand that you misinterpreted the post, stop doubling down!!!

Or maybe you shouldn’t talk like terfs

Nobody’s talking like terfs. In the context of the original post, trans men are what’s being discussed. Do you want the OP to call trans men, women? You misinterpreted the post. Now you know. Stop doubling down

You can’t just remove the context to make your argument work

you misunderstanding what a post is referring to does not make that post transphobia omfg

if a trans guy and a woman are standing next to each other and someone points at the woman and says "she's my friend" and someone else didnt see the woman and thought they were pointing at the trans guy, that doesnt mean that it's transphobic for the pointer to have said "she" in that context.

i'm saying that misunderstanding what someone is referring to doesnt mean anything about what the person was actually referring to

idk how to make my analogy more clear, i'm basically saying someone else misunderstanding what was said doesnt mean that what was said was wrong

like if i say "the earth isnt flat" and someone else misheard me and thought i said "the earth is flat" that still doesn't mean i'm spreading flat earth rhetoric

It's just an example/analogy to make the logic it easier for OP to understand. What's confusing?
