No okay. Hear me out. Not a furry. But my ex was, and I went to Anthrocon with him, one of the biggest Furry Conventions in the country, and because I knew a few other queer friends who were going. And they were some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Yea, the con was weird. And horny. Of course it was. But there were MULTIPLE stalls selling cheap Clip on dog tags (literal), Pins, Additions to your entry pass lanyard… Hundreds of boundaries written on them, guys.
I also want to encourage people to see it this way. This is a community where outcasts gather in solidarity. There are many hurting people who are going to flock there seeking understanding. That comes with maladaptive behavior, family trauma, etc. A community should hold themselves accountable, but one predator is not the community.
