Don’t crucify me for this one but both sides do the political aisle are entirely captured by identity politics. I love hating on yt people as much as the next racial minority but it be anybody and everybody. Even the kids gonna come on here like “wow, I can’t believe you’re attack a minor” like it’s relevant at all.

once again don't crucify me, but jumping on this, there are more than two sides to the political isle? by "far left" are we discussing liberal, leftist? or what? or is it just generally applicable to privileged white queers regardless? i have noticed that leftists tend to engage less with identity politics but maybe your experience is different?

Hi Ellie big fan of your sensible takes. I am saying both sides of the two party system though in my experience far leftists aren’t innocent of indulging in identity politics and the far right as it exists in the USA is wholly enamored with saving demographics of their preferred dominant identities.

yeah no i completely agree. when i was referring to leftists specifically it was referring to those who acknowledge capitalisms failings and class conflict rather than those who engage with the two party system. also very sorry for the late response. i was banned 😭
