They fucking should. If you’re ashamed to be gay and actively advocating for legislation that curbs gay rights, you are most certainly part of the problem and should be exposed for that. Not because you’re gay. But because you’re harming people who are constantly having their rights chipped away by bigots

I think this would be super funny but there’s also a small part of my brain that doesn’t want to stoop down to their level. Like outing people without consent is no joke, and we’ll never be able to tell that to anyone ever again if we do this

even if it is illegal it would pale in comparison to the rampant crime spree of this administration and frankly i am not at all opposed to any and all tactics to eradicate them from any semblance of power or influence. conservatives must be exiled from civil society because their ideology is diametrically opposed to the very concept of civil society

Normally I’d agree but they’re pushing for kids to be forcibly outed and I don’t have any sympathy for them in that. They have made our lives a living hell. Maybe that would be the push to get them to get it together and push for good instead of evil.

i just doubt their consituitency would care or believe it was real and it’s a bad precedent for these apps to set that they’re willing to out people like that and reveal info about users. it’s not like this would change anyone’s opinions of them their supporters aren’t gonna believe grindr and everyone else already hates them

Unfortunately I think this is correct. As satisfying as it would be to see some hypocrites outed, it’s unlikely to create any real change and does set a dangerous precedent. All in all I think that people are wrong to downvote you as this was a very levelheaded take (if not emotionally unsatisfying).
