Yeah I said something to this affect a few days ago under a certain post and got ripped a new one for it and blocked by someone I really thought was gonna agree, Idk why this is getting downvoted too its almost like its a bot issue atp though im sure its just a few miserable people

I’ve noticed (not just these two comment examples) but many others throughout these past few months that someone on here will call out an issue either within the LGBT community or on this app specifically.

I feel like the reason is because everyone is so “bean soup” about it. Someone makes a post saying that some gay men have a habit of being genuinely mean fucking assholes because they want to have that “sassy gay man” persona, and some gay man reading the post will be like, “Well… I’M not like that! This post is talking about ME PERSONALLY! DOWNVOTE! HATE COMMENT! BOO!!!”

And it’s the same with every time someone is getting called out for something here. I seen so many comments addressing biphobia, and they would get downvoted almost immediately.

I remember someone talking about racism on here and that got downvoted too. It feels like people on this channel either, 1. are losers with literally nothing to do on here so they come on looking for an argument because they’re just THAT bored and lonely. 2. They think that every single post on here applies to THEM IN PARTICULAR, and they take personal offense to it.

People don’t JUST SAY these things because they want to. They address issues like racism, biphobia, people excusing their shitty partner’s behaviors, anything like that BECAUSE ITS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?!

We’re not going to address an issue because it happened once. We’re not going to make a whole post about this ONE thing that happened ONE time. When something becomes an issue, we call it out. And you have the audacity to downvote it because you think that it’s not true.

And if you think it’s not true because you’ve never seen it, you are giving the EXACT same energy as white people when POC spoke about passive aggressive racism. “Well, I MYSELF never seen this happen, so it must not be true.” Shut the FUCK up, oh my god.
