Genuinely I would’ve loved someone to go with, I got a ride from a queer couple but they politely shooed me off before their date arrived because they’re in their 40s and didn’t want the 20 year old hanging around so I was fully nonverbal (they didn’t realize that, they don’t know I’m autistic) and was just wandering the street for four hours until they messaged me it was time to leave

I still had fun but I knew it would be hell if I had to communicate with anyone because most people don’t know asl, I ended up getting food and a drink from a gas station that was on the road that had been closed off for the parade because I wasnt able to say an order to a food vendor and didn’t want to inconvenience anyone else to help me order
