real talk , texas is nice and all cause of low prices for stuff and other benefits but the fuck is it good for when i’m actively been seen as a shooting target by freaks

an important thing to remember is that most ppl here don’t actually care. like yeah some people suck. but the government is doing most of the bad shit. the biggest thing that happens here is most people just like. haven’t ever met a trans person before. being a trans woman in texas becomes significantly easier if you sort of assume people mean well. obviously be safe, but most people are much better abt this than you realize

yes. there is no reason to ban all trans healthcare for all people other than to make it harder for them to survive. that bill barely avoided passage, thank god, but so many others have been passed that make it near impossible for us to exist publicly and visibly

and to be clear, my long term plan is to get out of here. i know it’s scary but if you’re stuck here for a while. you gotta dig your heels in, grit your teeth, and act like it doesn’t bother you. it makes it a bit easier in my experience

for sure. most people just assume i’m cis so my biggest problem is the government, can’t ever renew my id here and im not sure how much longer i can get meds easily (+ im post-op so my bones will get brittle and break without them)

I live with my parents in a small apartment, everything is so overstimulating, growing up in the city is so competitive, ur practically expected to succeed (I had bad grades in school and I dropped out of college anyway), the job market is competitive so I only doordash on Long Island, I wanna have my own apartment but no where near the city is affordable. I just wanna live somewhere quiet and affordable.

I also have no friends or social life since I’m so incredibly anxious, even tho it would be extremely easy for me to meet other trans girls like me in the city. If I’m gonna live a life of solitude, I might as well do it somewhere cheaper to live
