the division within the queer community these days is so disheartening to me. we are all fighting the same fight. i feel like a lot of young queer people have thrown our history out the window and focus too much on our differences

ranting more. i also think generally the lack of awareness people my age have of the AIDS epidemic is genuinely appalling as well. i don’t think people often think about the severity of it and how many were affected. my family is from NYC and many of their friends died. my uncle michaels boyfriend died, his boyfriends ex died, countless of his best friends.

the community of the early lgbt+ liberation movement is something we all need to look back upon and learn from. everyone just existed as they were, micro-labels did not matter and they shouldn’t still

the core of what everyone wants is simple, queer liberation. whatever that means to them. the division comes from the stupid fucking infighting
