Hot take but what consenting adults do behind closed doors is none of my business. Not to mention the fact that many of those ‘problematic’ kinks are actually a form of trauma response and help people with their trauma, as weird as it sounds.

as someone who’s struggled with this a lot (won’t go into it) — how would the kink community take accountability for making sure kink acceptance doesn’t accidentally promote harmful behaviors and crimes?

it’s always rubbed me the wrong way when people actively sexually seek out pretending to be a younger age. i understand roleplaying scenarios like based on their role (ex. professor and student) where you may have a different age regardless but idk. maybe someone can explain it to me

It’s just what people like genuinely, even I can’t explain it more than that , a lot of kinks are unexplainable but long standing as in existing before most of us have been alive , It’s about innocence, power dynamic etc and alot of people who indulge in it have some sort of childhood trauma and it helps them heal , just like how a lot of 🍇 victims are also into cnc

which i definitely understand as someone who can attest to the trauma connection. i just never understood why the sexual part about it had to involve actively aging yourself down in behavior. giving traditionally youthful attitudes a sexual connotation just doesn’t seem appropriate morally. maybe i don’t understand the kink enough

SSC and RACK , there’s guides in place on HOW to practice but for us there’s no taking accountability and saying what someone else is doing as wrong as long as it’s not ACTUALLY illegal. Thats actually a huge pillar in the community , if it’s not illegal or harmful ,Everyone shall keep to themselves. Now there are absolutely taboo things we judge amongst each other but normally it’s internalize thoughts and never community prosecution.
