I just think it’s so insane how whenever women are discussing their sa experience there’s always some bozo like “BUT MEN GET ASSAULTED TOO” like it’s some sort of gotcha moment to invalidate her experience

It’s a fun double whammy because the "gotcha" people also don’t actually care about the men who get assaulted. They just want people to stop talking. But it’s a special kind of hell to have your own traumatic experiences brought up specifically to silence a marginalized community that you have traits in common with (in this case, SA). Anyway. Solidarity with you as someone else in a similar boat
