I haven’t seen any biphobia being perpetuated, unless you are talking about how people are using this situation to talk about why they find comfort in being les4les

Im just chalking it up to different fyps, because ive been seeing gay/queer men mostly defending us until yesterday where I seen a handful of videos of guys that clearly didn’t see the podcast, but yeah my takeaway from this whole thing should be that we should be listening and respecting each other and no one should be trying to tell another person that they’re waiting for them to come out as something else 😵‍💫

I am just curious what the biphobia is because I have seen a lot of bisexuals saying that lesbians talking about why they like to be les4les is biphobia. Like even under videos where lesbians talking about how they feel uncomfortable dating someone who calls themselves a lesbian while still dating cis men. I have seen bisexual ppl say that standing up for Renee is biphobic and that it is biphobia to think that Renee will only end up with a woman. So I’m just curious if it is actual biphobia

Yeah I’ve seen that too but I really try not to assume thats the case when ik ive seen the most random crazy takes from people trying to comment on this whole situation, so its not much of a reach of the imagination imo lol

the biphobia that i’m seeing is the discourse around people assuming that bisexual women are just straight and want to look cool, a la “bisexual women and their boyfriends” and how it’s not other queer people’s responsibility to validate them. which, while 100% true that only you can validate your own identity, just feels really disparaging.

tldr the point is that it’s not biphobic to assume someone is straight, but it is biphobic to side-eye bisexual people (women specifically) and make jokes about how they just want to be queer without having to actually be queer. it’s quite literally a microaggression
