as a labeled gendered person who isn't out i feel this too lol. if i haven't stated my gender yet i just pull whatever card is easier or makes the other person looks stupid if need be

i feel similarly about being bigender + presenting somewhat ambiguously. sometimes it feels like people in public will just read me as whatever gender they’re most comfortable talking to, and it’s like… yknow what, “approachable yet unknowable” is a great way to move through the world actually. no complaints here

Im not very labeled and I fit well enough into women generally even though it’s not quite correct so it’s fun to say “I’m not a girl” when someone makes a generalization and I want to be annoying or funny
