transphobia and the stigma around gender dysphoria is ridiculous because when will conservatives realize that it also harms cis people too. harming ANYONE should be enough but it never is. i as a cis person also feel gender dysphoria, SURPRISE SURPRISE

Do trans people not deserve respect or rights unless cis people can also experience what we do? Conservatives don’t really care if their rhetoric also harms cis people. What happens when something trans people experience IS unique and isn't something cis people experience? Does that then mean it’s invalid? Trans rights don’t have to always be about cis people

if you read my post where i say “harming ANYONE should be enough” that is where i reference that it doesn’t matter who it is at the cost of, it shouldn’t be at the cost of anyone. perhaps i didn’t make my point clear but TLDR; transphobia harms everyone

My point is what if it didn’t harm everyone? You say yourself that harming anyone *should* be enough, but isn't. It's rough to see that your strategy doesn't involve making people care about trans people. Instead it’s about making our issues "expand" into also harming cis people (the people who are generally the ones being transphobic and upholding transphobic systems)?

unfortunately many people in this world are only out to help themselves, and so telling people how it will directly hurt them is the only thing that works

i see what you mean now. the grand solution is everyone learning to mind their fucking business but lord knows that would never happen in this millennia

I think the grand solution is actually for everyone to care about everyone else. Which seems to be why you went straight for the selfish reasons to support trans people and why I'm frustrated that that’s often pushed as the only inevitable solution

i didn’t mean to come off as selfish, and i apologize that it seemed that way. i think i just poorly articulated myself in trying to make it apparent that someone’s hate for a group of people both directly and indirectly harms *everyone* because we never know the experiences of those around us. as wonderful as having everyone care for everyone, that’s a utopian world where everyone is inherently kind to others😕
