I feel like whoever designed this hot topic pride shirt has ✨opinions✨ because it doesn't include lesbian or bi flags but it does have polysexual and genderqueer which are both underused flags (also having pan and polysexual instead of bi is a choice)

it makes me feel crazy to see the way lesbians get shutdown every time we talk about our lack of representation.

what gets me when people are adamant about defending merch like this is like... they didn't HAVE to only have 9 flags?? like they'll be like "well these people deserve representation" but why not include lesbians then? that would just be one flag too many?

it’s both. the flags you’re complaining about seeing get LESS representation than the flags on this shirt. let them have their moment, there’s significantly more lesbian merch than some of these.

coming from someone that really just needs the rainbow or queer flag. i fit a few others but like i don't need to see the genderqueer flag. it makes me happy to see it, but it makes infinitely more sense to include L, G, B, and T before worrying about the 20th letter in the acronym
