His freedom of speech wasn't violated if anything the shooting was the consequence of the awful things he did and said. Yes he was unimportant in the grand scheme of things and honestly his shooting changes nothing. While I understand the value of non-violence to push change to say we can't solve anything with violence is incorrect every struggle every liberty was gained through violent struggle. Now yes should the violence be aimed at the government and elite instead? yes 100%
To say violence is never the answer when violence is inflicted on the 99% is flawed thinking. The state and elites inflict violence on regular working class and impoverished people making basic human rights like housing, healthcare, education, food, and water nearly unattainable. Violence and non-violent means go hand in hand you can't have one without the other
Obviously everything happens for a reason. I know that he is a racist bigot, im not particularly sad he passed, but he didn’t deserve it. The gruesomeness of how he died, nobody deserves to die like that. He got what he said others deserved and thats karma, but i’m not celebrating it. Violence makes a point, but it’s not the answer and i think its gross people are celebrating it.
No one deserves to have their homes bombed to oblivion no child deserves to be shot by soldiers in broad daylight no one deserves to live in constant warfare children in school don’t deserve to endure the trauma of a shooting regular people deserve to afford basic living, Floyd didn't deserve to have a knee on his neck and yet Kirk didn't extend that same kindness and empathy to those people did he? Especially not while being a right-wing grifter death does not make you deserving of empathy
I 100% disagree do you not realize slave rebellions, wars of independence, and riots are forms of violence that forced change? is violence always the answer? No but to say it’s never the answer is just flat out wrong violence is the answer when the 1% and elite hoard all the resources and make basic living impossible while oppressing the 99%
