fr it lowkey comes off as men wanting to be the victims. like obviously women fetishizing men isn’t a good thing but also ohh how terrible now you know how we feel constantly

this!! and also the fetishization of lesbians can lead to real life consequences especially with porn (ex men thinking they can turn a lesbian straight, asking girls to kiss at parties, etc). its obv awful that gay men get fetishized but i feel like the worst that a fetishizing straight woman could rlly do is make ppl uncomfortable

i mean as a bi man who prefers men & is in a long term relationship with one, my boyf had a roommate who was from china & was like a fujoshi, and i lowkey didnt give af about it like we would all just joke that she wanted to see us kiss but it kinda didnt bother me 🤷‍♂️ and ik that it will bother some people and thats totally valid but my point is i've never met a lesbian who felt remotely the same abt men fetishizing them & i think its bc the power dynamic relationship there is more fraught

exactly! the consequences for men being fetishized, while still a problem, are nowhere near what women face at the hands of men who fetishize them
