i mean it sucks, but i think the reason you have to list a deadname in addition to (not instead of) your current name on a ballot is so that voters can do their due diligence deciding if they want to vote for you based on past behavior. otherwise people could just do all kinds of shit and just change their name to run for office

There are exceptions for felons, which she is not. This is a cis democrat man targeting someone running for the same office as him because she is trans. She is legally protected because she ran under her common name, which is protected. Idk why you're making excuses.

That’s likely her middle name, since many women have their maiden names become their middle names. Not a full separate name.

Reading comprehension check! She is using her CURRENT LEGAL NAME to run for office, which is DIFFERENT from her given, i.e. deadname. The democrat man wants her to have to always put her DEADNAME alongside her current legal and common name to run for office because she is transgender, depite there being NO LAW requiring that. He wants her to be outed on the ballot because she’s trans so he will win his election.
