idk of any pharmacy chain that will deny filling a prescription because of a lack of insurance. they would probably check the goodrx price and confirm the patient is willing to pay before placing an order for the medication, but for the quantity op posted it would probably be under $150 and could be even less depending on the pharmacy
Good RX actually does a lot. My college offers testosterone for 40$ thank god. But when I tried to get a refill at Walgreens it was 300$ and 150 after good rx. Thankfully summer semester was still in session so I was allowed to just buy it from the school pharmacy for 40$ (had to drive an hour tho). But anyways these prices are crazy (granted 300$ is so much better than whatever the fuck that price is up there in OPs pic)
I’m aware. I’m saying just trying goodrx specifically is not enough. They are just one program. You go into a pharmacy and ask to use goodrx it’s usually not goodrx there’s many alternatives that are cheaper that we use. When someone comes in with a physical card it’s usually more than searchable in network programs such as script save, rxsaver, and other ones that provide better prices based on their formulary and any preferred drugs they have listed, the pbm, and contacts at specific pharmacy
I looked at your other comment that listed other searchable discounts. So I should ask for one of those instead? Or does saying “can I use good rx” basically do the same thing because you said they use it like an umbrella term? Curious because if you’re saying there are better searchable saves that’ll help many people. Could I look for these online and go into the pharmacy saying “I found this searchable save” or something along those lines?
