I know for sure that there are non-biphobic les4les people, I have yet to meet one in real life. I have heard again and again (like commenter 1) that they want to avoid “fake gay girls” and hold a lot of stereotypical views of bisexual women. It puts a bad taste in my mouth because of the people I’ve met, but I understand that there’s not anything inherently wrong with being les4les.

les4les isn’t the issue it’s lesbians telling bi women that they’re not really queer. Most bi women I know in wlw relationships are dating other bi women, you just assume it’s les4les because that’s your default

When did I say I assume anything?? I’m posting this because I see a lot of people get mad at lesbians for dating only other lesbians

Also good for the bi women dating other bi women? Good for them? It makes sense and can be really nice to date people with the same sexuality to you, as they share some type of attraction and experience with you.

My point is that there are lots of bi women that are queer and in healthy queer relationships. Nobody is mad at les4les they’re mad at the way that lesbians talk about NEEDING to do les4les to avoid the “fake bi girls”

I’m not saying you are. I’m answering you as to why some bi women talk about their frustrations with les4les. I have had lesbians, before they learned I was bisexual, tell me that was the explicit reason why they were. I am not saying all lesbians are but that is why there is discourse around it. I am answering your question.

The T4t people I know (including myself) mainly do it for safety. I don’t know if there have been any reputable studies on violence between lesbians and bisexual women, but we know that the stats of violence committed by cis people towards trans people don’t look great.

I know some other trans people are T4T more for the shared experience bit and that’s what I’m assuming most les4les people are also wanting? Fair enough to me

I’m Les4les bc I have found that other lesbians understand and respect my experience in a way that other sapphics don’t. That level of connection and understanding is important to me
