Even though it isn't your label, it's one that keeps you safe. Lesbians have a long history of protecting gay men, and so I see this as no different. Lesbian is a term that protects you from being outed as trans, as long as it keeps you safe from harm, the label's doing everything it needs to. Sincerely, an older lesbian
