the problem has never been trans men talking about patriarchy. it’s two fold 1. trans men ignoring that at some point, they benefit from it 2. treating the status of “afab” as the only group who the patriarchy oppresses (NOT specific to trans men)
Chat just a kind reminder that trans men should be allowed to talk about their past experiences within the patriarchy and not be attacked because they indeed understand a LOT about it, especially if they haven't been able to fully transition

i don’t even say this because i’m an intellectualist. i’m not in humanities. i’m an engineer for Christ’s sake. i just want people to wait until they have read a word about things they talk about before talking. none of this is new. trans men have an understanding of the patriarchy that cis men don’t. it’s true. that does not mean they don’t benefit from the patriarchy. we in the business call this a “dialectical statement.” two things that seem to be at odds are both true
