Basically! For anyone not familiar— AIDS (acquired immunodeficient syndrome) is the final result of an untreated, unsuppressed HIV infection wherein the body’s natural immune system is damaged beyond repair and is more susceptible to everything else.

I heard someone in passing the other day say it goes away and you can get it a second time and then saw it commented today, online, that it disappears when AIDS develops and I’m just… baffled.
