whenever i came out as trans my little sister texted me and said please don’t be trans all the kids at my school think trans people are so weird:/

Personally there are two sides: be you and show that not all trans ppl are weird OR (my personal favorite) be you and ALSO pick every ‘weird’ or ‘niche’ interest and become the ‘weird’ in the cool way, not a bad way that your sister made it sound like

Yeahhhhh sorry what I meant by ‘weird in the bad way’ I meant I thought it sound like they thought those who are trans are the ‘creepy’ type of ‘weird’ which unfortunately I hear too many stories about (which didn’t help when I started to acknowledge that I myself am trans bc I didn’t wanna be seen negatively like that) but I do agree that ‘weird’ in the sense of being yourself is the best and less boring
