“Standing Together” is a zionist whitewashing group that is on the BDS list because they “both sides” genocide and apartheid, refuse to call it genocide or apartheid, and dont actually help people. They are only for arab citizens of Isntreal, not for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.
what is antisemitic is attacking jews in general because of the actions of the idf, accusing them of supporting the genocide in palestine because they are jewish and israel is a primarily jewish country. which many people who claim to be “pro palestine” are doing. which only serves to brew more hate, violence, and persecution. which is the opposite of that the movement or literally any living person needs
of course! part of my family is jewish, and i’m a member of hillel at my school. good friends with many people there and the rabbi and his wife are like another pair of parents to me (and they and my parents adore each other). i’ve been considering converting to judaism for a couple years now actually i’ve just not had the time for the process
Well there ya go, I’ve learned the hard way to never trust opinion pieces as they’re often inflammatory and aren’t bound to the same rules of fact reporting as some other kinds of articles are. Tucker Carlson got away with all the shit he did because his show was classified as an opinion piece
it really is, it’s like a home on campus. i joined because i associated jewish gatherings with family already and then fell in love with it. they welcome non jews with open arms and are so lovely. the rabbi and his wife are some of the most kind hearted and supportive people i’ve ever met and they also give amazing hugs
it’s literally just a community bruh. hillel is a community. not a propaganda organization. they’ve been around for a long time and serve as a way to give jewish students a place to practice their religion and be with others like them. and to welcome in new friends. it’s a community, a home. have you ever once been to hillel also it can vary by school probably but in my experience and others as well it’s very positive and supportive
nowhere did i or the others say “i’m a zionist” i’m literally not. israel is corrupt and the genocide is unjustified no matter what. i’m saying that this does not represent jews as a whole. this isn’t jews in general doing it and it isn’t rhetorical fault of judaism. yes the people doing it are jews but that does not mean that they represent jews, nor does it mean that they should
Thats a rhetorical sleight of hand that ultimately excuses genocide. You are saying we can’t criticize the zionist genociders because a majority of Jewish people feel attached to them?? I have not said one thing about Jewish people. I keep reiterating true statements about Zionist colonizers. And this offends you, it seems.
The zionist occupiers government doesnt represent all Jews on earth. Never said it did. I said the problem isnt just the zionist government. Its the entire society, built on genocide and still supports it. And obviously the minority of Isntreal doesnt support genocide against Arabs.
cool so that’s actually not what i’m saying. i’m not offended by you criticizing zionists. if anything i’m “offended” by you 1) responding to comments with something completely unrelated, 2) using false or misleading statistics, and 3) implying that i (and others) have said certain things when we haven’t.
i still didn’t say anything about the genocide being solely the govt’s fault. i still didn’t defend anyone or anything, certainly not israel or israelis or their govt. the only thing i would say about hillel is that it is virtually impossible to find jewish community spaces without ties to israel and the idf.
look at your search, man! you’re searching shit like “98% of israelis support destroying gaza” and posting ai generated summaries and outdated polls that don’t represent current beliefs. there are real, factual, verifiable sources on how israelis feel about the genocide. use those.
You keep bringing up the mistranslation as if it makes them any better. They all KNEW rape occurred, cheered and protested to protect the rapists, and only 21% of the settlers said they should have criminal trial. That is definitely a majority who really doesn’t give a shit or supports it.
“4% of zio settlers are against the genocide” Not exactly a persuasive defense of the settler society. Nor is “65% of settlers are against criminal charges for the IOF abusing prisoners but they still think there should be a slap on the wrist” Yeah that helps my argument. Its a sick and twisted society.
no one is attacking you. you’re the one calling names (btw ‘zio’ is generally considered a slur due to its connection to the kkk), defending misinformation, and dismissing an entire society as being sick and depraved beyond repair. you’re the one constantly accusing me of saying things i don’t even believe and defending things i don’t support.
if your response to finding out you spread misinformation is “whatever, its close enough”, you will quickly fall for actual propaganda. if your response to israel committing atrocities is to deny its existence, that delusion is going to prevent you from ever being part of meaningful progress.
the only reason i’m engaging with you at all is because we clearly have similar beliefs and i genuinely want you to have a better understanding of your arguments. because if your goal is ending the genocide, your first step should be dismantling the pro-israel propaganda that surrounds it. and you can’t do that if you’re spreading statistics without fact-checking or proper context, calling names, and claiming any disagreement is an attack.
