my mom said something similar to me too, and now she calls me her son and defends me to non-accepting family members. don’t give up hope! but also i totally understand that urge for revenge lol

i appreciate the kind words, legit comforting to hear anecdotes like this, but tbh she is / has been abusive in a lot of drastically more serious ways so keeping contact to a minimum is necessary for me regardless. mostly just hung up on that reaction of hers for its pettiness
