After decades of suppressing my gay attractions (25 year marriage), I’m exploring sex. Nobody warned me that it would take time for the body to catch up and I would experience ED and being passive in bed. How do I work through this?

seconding what 1 said. I hate reddit but this app isn't all that popular which means there's not much potential for comments from people who have experience on most topics tbh, but especially something like this is going to be harder to find on an app where the average age is early 20s. I know the PsychologyToday website has a therapist directory that you can filter to only show LGBT+ friendly therapists, and this seems like a great topic to work through with a sex therapist.

Autism, sensory issues (human fluids in my mouth make me panic), abuse as a kid, religious guilt, childhood and marital trauma… it all makes sex very difficult. What I envision in my head is a more aggressive me. But reality is something else.

Has anyone else worked through these things?

in the most polite way this is an app directed towards college kids, so I imagine it's very rare that anyone on here would have also experienced similar marital trauma. for that particular realm you'd probably need to look elsewhere (maybe reddit?)

I appreciate this, but I mentioned a lot more than marital trauma. The rest of them are things others might experience. So I was wondering if anyone else worked through those things or experience them.
