especially bc a lot of it is just stolen from cultures with actual history and beliefs, like maybe if astrology existed for a significant portion of time i’d give it the time of day .. but it’s an amalgamation of stolen ideologies

That isn’t even really how astrology is supposed to work, as someone who’s not a particular fan of it, the idea of it is based on more than just horoscopes based on your sun sign

Who are you suggesting it’s stolen from? The form of Astrology most popular in at least most of the Anglosphere has had an unbroken lineage in most of Europe since at least the Roman Empire.. It is not “stolen,” it is not some kind of modern cultural appropriation, it has deep roots and history. It saw a significant decline and then popular revival with the New Age movement, which did appropriate a lot of cultural stuff in many areas, but astrology was not one of them
