This is the realest fucking post I’ve seen here. I have always felt like something needed said about this exact topic and just never had the confidence to say so because I thought I’d get flamed, you’re a better person than I for saying it.

THIS or they take an individual topic they’re too stupid to think critically about and thus anti-intellectualize it by saying “why are we having discourse and infighting when this current administration wants us all dead” lmao I swear the bean soup and whataboutism is a cancer on this thread (I called someone out and they blocked me💀)

They’re the same ones that turn a peaceful debate and informative, educational setting into an argument where they’re only responding to argue instead of understand, empathize and learn

Being gay doesn’t excuse other bigotry like racism or sexism. You don’t get to be bigoted towards other minorities in your community then pull the “but we’re a community let’s just get along” card when you’re called out on it. (you in a general sense not directed at OP)
