And the “unique connection to womanhood” doesn’t equate to lesbianism. Imagine you lived in a house (lesbian) for a while but then you moved (transitioned). Now imagine forcing your old roommates to let you in whenever you please even though YOU DONT LIVE THERE

And I’ve tried my best to understand the other side, but not everything is fluid when it comes to gender and sexuality. My sexuality is not fluid and it does not change. I resonated with the lesbian label for that reason. Now people are comparing lesbians to the police because we don’t want to include men

The history argument isn’t really strong either. Why would we want to move backwards? Trans men used to be lesbians because it was unsafe and they didn’t even have the words to describe themselves the way we do now.

I identified myself with the lesbian label because I am not attracted to men and it is the ONLYY label that excludes men. Now I’m constantly being told that lesbians can like men and men can be lesbians. A man that likes women is straight.

Yes you made many memories in that house and it shaped your experience but you no longer live there, so to call yourself a resident of that house would be insane
