I honestly thought this was about Muslim women not being supposed to marry non Muslims it didn’t even occur to me that it was queer Muslim erasure 💀💀💀

I was so lucky to grow up w/ friends w/ different religious practices... but I have been SHOCKED at some of the things people have said to me outside my bubble. Someone said they felt less safe around muslims bc they were visibly queer and we were, I kid you not, directly next to a mosque that visibly proclaimed being LGBTQ+ friendly. And said person was from an ultra conservative catholic town (where they do feel safe!). Like, I think it’s actually your islamophobia...
